MinervaSpring is an educational learning platform that provides interactive learning activities across subjects including English, maths, science, history, geography, art, and life skills for children and families.
2. Who Can Use MinervaSpring
MinervaSpring is designed for use by children under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian who is at least 18 years old. Children access the platform through learner profiles managed by the parent account.
Guest access: Some learning activities are available without an account. Guest sessions do not store personal data.
3. Accounts and Profiles
Parent accounts
As a parent or guardian, you are responsible for your account and any learner profiles you create. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
Learner profiles
Learner profiles are created by parents to personalise the learning experience. We do not collect real names, dates of birth, photographs, or other identifying information from children. Profiles use chosen display names and avatar emojis only.
4. What You Can Do
- Access learning activities appropriate to the selected difficulty level
- Track progress and earn achievements across subjects
- Use parent controls to manage your child's learning experience
- Adjust accessibility settings (text-to-speech, dyslexia font, high contrast, etc.)
- Upgrade to Premium for access to all activities
5. What You Must Not Do
- Share your account with others or let children access the parent dashboard unsupervised
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our content or code
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access data belonging to other users
- Misrepresent your identity or create accounts fraudulently
6. Premium Features
MinervaSpring offers a one-time Premium purchase that unlocks additional subject hubs, deeper learning tiers, learner profiles, progress tracking, and more. Premium access is tied to your parent account and applies to all learner profiles under that account.
Payments
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Full payment card details are never stored. Refund policies are governed by the payment provider's terms and applicable consumer protection law.
7. Content and Intellectual Property
All learning content, game designs, illustrations, text, and code on MinervaSpring are owned by MinervaSpring or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
8. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep MinervaSpring available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update these terms, the platform's features, or content from time to time. Material changes to these terms will be communicated through the platform or by email.
9. Limitation of Liability
MinervaSpring is provided as an educational tool. While we strive for accuracy and quality, we do not guarantee that all content is error-free. Our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time through the parent dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are an EU consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions in your country of residence.
